The Freestone Cancer Support Group offers vital cancer patient assistance to those in Freestone County, providing resources for food, travel, and lodging during their treatment.
All our staff members at the Freestone Cancer Support Group are volunteers, and many of us have personally experienced cancer in our lives or have been touched by loved ones who have battled this disease. As a non-profit corporation with Federal 501(c)(3) approval, we are dedicated to providing cancer patient assistance. Since our inception in September 2012 through 2025, we have contributed $450,000 to local friends and neighbors in Freestone County who are receiving treatment for cancer. Additionally, we support cancer research through various hospitals. We invite you to join us as we meet on the first Tuesday of every month to discuss Freestone County resources and support available to those affected by cancer.
